Rebecca offers Master Classes for singers with an emphasis on song interpretation for both classical and theatre trained performers that uniquely embraces and challenges each individual artist to find their true voice. She uses examples of vocal technique, with an emphasis on diction, internal rhythm, key signatures and the art of the song recital. It is her objective to further illuminate the individual artist’s intuitive communication. She emphasizes a keen refinement - respect for the orchestrator, the accompanist, the singer and the actress within. These disciplines translate to the solitude of the recording studio and are also skills that can be applied to repertoire for recitals, theatre, cabaret, opera and the concert stage. Her accomplished recording career offers a vital teaching resource, and the unspoken exchange between her musical arranger and concert pianist, Philip Fortenberry, continues to inspire her living, truthful performances. Sought after as a teaching artist, her Master Classes have been taught at SMU, Ithaca College, Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre, the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Governor’s School for the Arts in Norfolk, VA. Rebecca holds a BFA degree in Classical Voice Performance from the Ithaca College School of Music.
